This is becoming a popular choice for those who want to keep it simple and allow their friends and family to have a memorial at a later date.
Cremation fees are included in the cost. After the cremation, ashes can be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium or they can be collected.

The SunLife Cost of Dying report, 2024, shows that direct cremations are the lowest cost. A traditional funeral will cost an average of £4,142, whereas a Memoria funeral plan costs as little as £1690.
Pre-paid funeral plans are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Funeral arrangements for a person who has passed away are not covered by the FSCS.
