A Memorial Funerals Direct Cremation costs from £1,195, with no hidden fees. The price includes collection, care, cremation, and the provision or scattering of ashes. Optional extras, such as hand delivery of ashes, are also available.
We also offer two options for attended funerals: the Personal Funeral costs from £2,045 and includes a short morning ceremony at the crematorium for up to 25 people; the Celebration of Life cost from £2,895 and offers more flexibility with a longer service and no restrictions on the number of guests. Both attended funeral options include funeral directors’ fees, collection and care of your loved one, cremation costs and a quality wood coffin (there is an additional fee if an oversized coffin is needed). You can choose to add extra services, such as a hearse, limousine and officiant to lead the ceremony for an extra charge.
A direct cremation is a simple cremation without a service or mourners present. After the cremation takes place, the ashes are either returned to you or scattered, depending on your wishes. Many families choose this option because it allows them to say goodbye in their own way and at a time that feels right.
A standard direct cremation is unattended. However, Memoria Funerals also offers two types of attended funerals if it’s important for friends and family to be present. This means loved ones can still gather to say goodbye without the cost or formality of a traditional funeral.
Cremations are carried out at Memoria Funerals crematoria across the UK, or one of our chosen partners’. Unless you have a prepaid plan, an extra charge may apply if the crematorium is not owned by Memoria.
In the case of direct cremation, the cremation will take place at a crematorium of our choosing.
After the cremation, we can return the ashes to you in a simple container, arrange hand delivery, or scatter them in the crematorium’s gardens of remembrance. We’ll discuss the options with you so you can choose what feels most meaningful.
