About Memoria Funerals

One of the UK’s Best-Value Funeral Providers

Memoria Funerals is a UK-based funeral provider offering prepaid funeral plans for people who want to plan ahead and protect their family from future funeral costs, as well as at-need funeral services for those arranging a funeral for someone who has died. As part of the Memoria Group, one of the UK’s leading funeral providers and crematoria operators, we are supported by a network of 11 modern, award-winning crematoria across England, Scotland and Wales.

We support families with a range of funeral choices. You may want an attended funeral where family and friends can come together to say goodbye, with personal touches that reflect your loved one’s life. Or you may prefer a simpler direct cremation without a service or mourners present.

We’re proud that our direct cremation plan has held a 5-star rating from Fairer Finance for two years running, while both of our attended funeral plans (with a service) are also 5-star rated by Funeral Solution Expert. We’re also consistently rated 4.9 Excellent on Trustpilot by over 4,000 families, making us one of the most reviewed and highest-rated providers in the sector.

We own our own crematoria

Memoria Funerals is part of the Memoria Group, which owns and operates 11 crematoria across England, Scotland and Wales. This means that where a Memoria crematorium is chosen for an attended funeral, or used for a direct cremation, families benefit from our own facilities and experienced teams.

Each crematorium upholds the Memoria Standard: our commitment to trust, specialist expertise, fair value and compassionate care. Our teams also deliver the Memoria Care Promise, providing clear guidance, personal support and genuine care at every stage.

Our crematoria offer peaceful, thoughtfully designed spaces where families can take time to reflect, remember and honour a life. We continually invest in our facilities to ensure they remain welcoming, well maintained and equipped to provide the highest standards of service.

Families may also choose one of our crematoria for memorialisation after the cremation. This could be as simple as scattering ashes in our memorial gardens, or choosing a more lasting tribute, such as a natural memorial, rosebush, tree, plaque or memorial bench.

Each crematorium has a caring team who are there to offer a warm welcome and a friendly face. Their support does not end with the funeral; they remain there in the weeks, months and years that follow, offering a sense of connection for those who may be grieving, feeling lonely or returning to remember someone they love.

We are also committed to pioneering greener funerals and improving the environmental sustainability of our crematoria. Two of our crematoria have achieved the Greener Globe Trusted Crematorium Platinum Award, the highest level of accreditation available.

Memoria crematoria are among the most highly rated in the UK, with a 4.9-star rating from more than 4,300 reviews on Reviews.io. This independent feedback reflects our commitment to providing exceptional care, support and service to every family we serve.

Working with trusted local partners

If you would prefer the service to take place at a crematorium outside the Memoria network, we can arrange that too*.

Unlike many other providers, there are no restrictions on where the cremation can take place. Whether it is a crematorium close to home, somewhere with special meaning, or simply the place that feels right for your family, we can help make it happen. Wherever that is in mainland UK.

Through our carefully selected network of funeral director partners, when you choose an attended cremation with a service, we provide trusted local support wherever you choose to be cremated. Every partner we work with is chosen for their professionalism and commitment to upholding the Memoria Standard, so families can expect the same care and expertise whether the funeral takes place at one of our crematoria or another crematorium of their choice.

*Your choice of crematorium is available for attended funerals only, including Personal Funerals and Celebration of Life Funerals. Crematorium choice is not available for direct cremations.

Why choose Memoria Funerals
