We will take your loved one into our care using a suitable vehicle and provide a the Morpeth light oak effect coffin with handles and a name plate. Cremation fees are included in the cost.

After the cremation, ashes can be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium or they can be collected. Alternatively the ashes can be returned by private driver to anywhere in mainland UK for an additional fee.

Cremation Experience Associate

A Memoria Funerals direct cremation includes the deceased being cremated at one of group owned Award-winning, state-of-the-art Memoria Crematoria that are strategically located across the United Kingdom. Memoria Crematoria are located in beautiful settings, featuring lakes, rolling landscapes and seasonal flowers. Conveyance of the deceased’s coffin will take place on the morning of the cremation and will be greeted by a Cremation Experience Associate who is dedicated to overseeing all aspects of the day.

The Cremation Experience Associate will follow the coffin into the Crematorium chapel to peaceful soothing music for the coffin to be placed on the catafalque. After a short period of time the Cremation Experience Associate will bow their head in honour of the deceased for the curtains to be then slowly and beautifully closed. The coffin will then be taken in to the area for the coffin to be placed in the cremator which the Cremation Experience Associate will supervise to the ashes being carefully packaged into a Memoria eco box ready for collection by a family member or private driver for delivery.

Business Charges

The total cost of your direct cremation funeral plan includes a £500 business charge. If you were to arrange a direct cremation for a person who has passed away today, the price is £1,095 however this excludes collection from home/private residence.

If choosing to pay by Funeral Safe, you may pay more over the term as unsecured loans are subject to interest. Missing payments could result in further charges and your funeral plan being cancelled. Please see FAQs for full details.

There is a business charge of £500 for setting up your funeral plan. This is the total charge of providing a funeral plan to you, including processing and administrative costs. This will be taken from the lump sum payment or will be paid to us by the insurance provider as a commission payment. Medical Certification Fees

Also known as doctors fees, medical certification fees for cremation are payable in England and Wales when a post mortem has not taken place.

To keep your money safe, we put all of the money from each plan (less the fee for setting up the plan) into an individual whole-of-life policy with our preferred insurance provider. When you pass away, the money is released to us so that your funeral can be provided.

Depending on the funeral plan you have chosen, additional services may be available at an additional cost. Please call our friendly team on 0800 007 3580 to find out what additional items can be included and the associated cost.

We only accept payment in full for our pre paid funeral plans, this is for customers aged 40 to 99 years old.

We also work with Funeral Safe, a provider of unsecured loans whereby you can pay them on a monthly basis if you are aged between 40 and 84 years old, with loan terms between 12 months to 8 years. Low Cost Funeral Limited are a credit broker not a lender. Credit checks would be required to apply for a loan and will show on your credit file. If you do not keep up with payments, your funeral plan could be cancelled and you may be subject to further action. The loan would be subject to 14% interest. Low Cost Funeral Limited may receive commission payment from successful referrals to Funeral Safe Ltd

In the event of our firm’s failure there will be a reasonable likelihood that the funeral plan contract will continue to be carried out, on the same terms and conditions, by another firm. Where this takes place, the new firm will notify you that they have taken responsibility for the funeral plan within 30 days of the transfer taking place. If for any reason your funeral plan cannot be fulfilled by an alternative provider, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) will pay you compensation; the FSCS calculate the compensation by reference to what it would cost to the buy the same plan on today’s market at that time.

  1. If a funeral is expected soon, it may not be worthwhile to take out a pre-paid plan.
  2. Depending on your chosen payment method, you may end up paying in more than the plan value.
  3. Some plans may restrict the location of the funeral.
  4. If you decide to change your payment method after purchase, there may be additional costs.
  5. Depending on your payment method, you may not be fully covered until after 12 months of continuous payments.
