Affordable Personalisation – An industry first….
Using the latest print technology, we have created a unique / never seen before product that can be fully customisable on the sides and ends of a standard traditional oak coffin. Bridging the gap between contemporary and bespoke.
Based on our Mitford coffin, a natural oak effect raised lid, ANY design can be PRINTED directly onto the wood, offering a high quality, tailor-made coffin.
Some families may wish to include names or words on the coffin design, for a more sentimental and personal touch. It can often express an emotion or sentiment that celebrates the life of your loved one.
Personal photographs help to convey those special moments to commemorate and remember a life.
A favourite place can often conjure up memories of a loved one’s past, perhaps displaying a place that held special meaning for them, or a location where they enjoyed spending time.
Any customised colour can be achieved from the Dulux range. We can take a sample into our nearby Dulux colour centre for them to produce a colour that closely matches. For ease of ordering, colour reference may be made using the Dulux colour chart (more colours can be found at www.dulux.co.uk)
Glitter Panel Coffins, a new way to personalise any funeral. Mix and match from a range of colour choices, by painting the coffin a particular colour, or leaving it in its natural wood. A glitter panel can then be added onto the side panel creating a visually stunning piece of art. Once chosen in either a natural wood or painted colour, combine it with a choice of nine different glitter colours that fit inside the beading on the side panel.
The coffin is based on our current Whitby; An oak veneer style coffin with veneered matching moulds and a half round mould on the lid and sides. Choose to have it in a natural wood colour or painted an colour from a Dulux UK range.
An oak style veneer coffin using Nil Formaldehyde Board. Polished with natural water based polish. Available with bar handles, ring handles, or rope handles. Fitted inside with an ASAP sheet. Engraved nameplate also available.

Any design can be created by our design team. Families can send pictures to use along with a brief of their idea. Often designs can be based on a few different themes, colours, textures, or be of a particular brand or event. *Sometimes designs can be subject to copyright.
As with sports, pastimes and leisure activities can become a defining aspect of people’s lives. Be it painting, fishing or gardening, we can create a picture coffin that utilises photographs supplied. If the deceased rode a particular motorbike, or sailed a particular vessel, we are happy to create a design that incorporates the right imagery for a truly personalised picture coffin.
Floral tributes have a long association with funeral arrangements and as such it is not surprising that picture coffins that utilise flowers in their design have become a popular choice. These floral designs offer a softer, more colourful alternative to a traditional wood coffin and can hold special significance. Poppies are well known for their link to remembrance, while daffodils can signify re-birth and renewal.
Sport can become a passionate corner-stone of our lives, manifesting itself in a life long dedication to a particular team. Many of the requests that utilise our personalised service reflect a special memory. Sporting and team coffins remain some of our most popular designs. Through flags and motifs we can reference national teams and, in the event of wanting to include a specific club, we can secure the permission to do so wherever possible.
Landscape views and vistas often conjure up very emotive feelings, which resonate with certain periods in people’s personal history. For this reason a landscape inspired picture coffin can conjure up memories of a loved one’s past, perhaps displaying a place that held special meaning for them, or a location where they enjoyed spending time. Our team can recreate panoramas that wrap around the sides of the coffin from photographs supplied; or if it is a well known location, we can source the images on your behalf.
Many of us are animal lovers and as such picture coffins featuring animals are amongst our most popular designs. They are perfect for someone who had a beloved pet, enjoyed spotting wildlife, or had an interest in exotic creatures. We offer designs featuring various types of household pets, wild animals and insects, but we are also happy to create a bespoke design depicting a personal pet using photographs provided.
Many of our customers like to include poetry, readings, song lyrics or their own writing on the coffin design for a more sentimental and personal touch. They may represent a favourite piece of prose or express an emotion or sentiment that celebrates the life of your loved one. The text can be laid over or combined into any design and can give an additional level of meaning to your personalised picture coffin. We have illustrated a few popular choices below, but you can add anything you like to almost any image.
Pre-paid funeral plans are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Funeral arrangements for a person who has passed away are not covered by the FSCS.
